CLOGS ARE BIG (literally) this Spring — Didn’t I Tell You?
This Spring clogs are it! If you look back on my post from Spring 2009 “Look of the Week: Fringe, Clogs and Long Cardigans” you will see that I have always loved clogs. And, now there are a multitude of styles to choose from including the top left from Chanel and the top right from Miu Miu. I love Stuart Weitzman’s denim clogs and Jeffrey Campbell’s beige clogs that still are totally reminiscient of the more traditional clog but way sexier!
These two pairs above are also being called clogs because the shoe sits on a clog-type platform. The above left is another Stuart Weitzman and is available in a few colors and the above right clog is from Free People.
Of course, a more traditional clog is still available. Try the Swedish Hasbeens if that’s what you prefer.
For me, I’ll try one of the newer styles. They are fresh and will look great with dresses for Spring and Summer or jeans and pants going forward into Fall. The look is hip but casual. Something different from a regular sandal or a flip flop.
I think this is a trend that will last — since it’s already decades old. And, that’s a good thing because I still love Clogs!
