Look of the Week: Gold Sandals
This is a great season for gladiator sandals, which I have not tired of and for metallic sandals with all types of heels and looks. I purchased a pair of gold gladiator, dressy sandals two years ago for an important party that I was hostessing — before gladiators were as big as they are today. It’s a look that I think can be timeless, if you’re careful how far you take it. The pair I bought were Kors Michael Kors for well under $200 through Zappos. I checked the website and unfortunately this style is no longer around. But there are plenty of other great choices. Check out zappos for lots of beautiful shoes, including the michael kors camelot sandal, pictured about (you may have seen it in my February blog on shoes I dream about). It’s my favorite shoe of the season. But, alas, for some reason Michael chose not to make this shoe in a size 5…why oh why???
At least there are lots of others and I have picked a few more favorites to highlight.
Gold sandals can be worn day or night and can look dressy or casual, depending on what other accessories you choose. I prefer for day to just wear the shoes with a cute dress, no jewelry. To add some additional exoticism or for evening, add gold bangles (lots!) to really accentuate the look. It’s up to you…
