Look of the Week: Butterflies Are Fluttering – Catch one while you Can

I have always been a lover of butterfly prints and jewelry.  Like flowers, butterflies are a way to illustrate your most feminine side.

This spring season has a variety of dresses, blouses, purses and jewelry that include butterfly motifs.  They ooze with femininity.  Additionally, something about these pieces evokes an early 20th century feel that almost has a mythical quality to it.  Take a look at a few that I have shown below and enjoy!

These three pieces are all from a brand called Tibi, known for silky patterned dresses.  The long dress and green top are available at saks.com and the short dress is from shopbop.com.  Tibi’s prices are between $220 for the top to $550ish for the maxi piece.

Leave it to Diane Von Furstenberg to create the coolest, rock-star dresses.  This is from her Spring 2009 line, now available at saks, nordstroms, and at dianvonfurstenberg.com.  The pattern consists of butterflies.  The dress retails for about $400.

Here are some inexpensive and more delicate ways to add butterflies to your wardrobe.  The ring and the necklace in the middle are from Banana Republic and the mother-of-pearl necklace is from Target(!).

Here’s a dress that is not from this season but is still available online at max studio.  It’s very beautiful, sexy and different.  Grab it before it’s gone…
