Theory Dresses For Spring 2008
Theory has been one of my favorite design groups for some time. Their dresses are wonderful for their fabric, fit and flexibility (daytime, evening, casual or dressy). Theory never over-designs so you can add your own style to each piece, or leave them simple (little or no jewelry, etc…) and know that you are always in fashion. You never feel as if the clothing is wearing you.

They have a great dress called the Jenin Luxe — found it a Nemains in purple as well as the black below for spring – that is sleeveless, not too short, buttons up a the neck so it doesn’t leave one wide open at the chest like so much does these days and has a self-belt to accentuate a small waist or create a waist, if needed. Saks carries it in the black only but they had a picture of it online, so it here it is:
The next Theory dress is the Alfa Crunch. Saks has it online in black. Neimans carried it in the store in black and khaki. I loved both. It’s comfortable, casual but can be dressed up a bit, if so desired.
Both of these dresses sell for about $300. Expensive, yes, but worth it for the deceivingly simple styling and great fit.
I haven’t seen this one in the stores yet, but from the picture, I really want it! Sexy, cool and looks comfortable. I’d have to wear a strapless bra, which is not my favorite but it may be worth it. Great color and pockets too!
